Here we are rping the Fourth season with a small twist to it.
Dean and Sam are on a job for Castiel when they meet Lilah. A girl who seems to know everything about whats going on, not just in the town.
Lilah tells them of her brother who is a hunter and asks if they could help her find him. They boys say they will only because Castiel asks them to take her as well.
But Dean seems to know her from somewhere, but he can't work out where! Lilah seems to be hiding the connection as well.
Meanwhile Sam is getting stronger and Ruby seems to be a tender topic with him. He keeps vanishing and poping back up just as fast. See what happens next!
Time for a Chat - (Sam and Dean) « Thread Started on Oct 21, 2009, 12:41am »
It had been a rather long time since Castiel, Dean and Sam had caught up. Despite the fact that it would be that slight more comfortable to only have Dean around rather then Sam as well, Castiel came to terms with that almost being impossible. It was only a moment or so that it took Castiel to figure out exactly where and when Dean and Sam may be checking into a hotel, and due to that simple fact he made sure that he made himself appear out of thin air, right on cue. His body making itself up on the spot within a matter of milliseconds, the full Castiel stood straight and emotionless.
Having his body so straight was almost so supernatural that it was the key pointer that he wasn't human; his posture was above perfect. Castiel's trench coat hung heavily over his shoulders and his tie messily sat around his neck. It wasn't any rare occasion that Castiel would come and talk to the boys, and it was clear this time was no exception. The Angels and 'God' were growing tired of what Sam was doing - drinking Demon blood and making himself 'stronger'. This was hardly the idea that the Angels had when setting Dean on his journey to stop Lilith and the Apocalypse. Sam doing what he was doing, was a accident waiting to happen. If he continued to drink the blood and grew stronger, he nor any one else knew what he could become and in the current time with all the current problems as is, the angels could hardly risk it.
It would only be a matter of seconds until one, or more then likely both of the brothers came strolling through the door to find Castiel there 'friendly neighborhood angel' standing there, waiting to talk to them with his regular look and regular garments. It may not be one of the sights that had longed for after a hard days work, but it wasn't Castiel's concern what they 'wanted'. So long as the work of God was going as it needed to, Castiel didn't have a Worry in the world; it clearly wasn't going the way God had wanted it to.

They had been driving for ages, Sam had been looking out the window, looking for a motel for them to stop in now for about half an hour. "There." Sam pointed when he finally spotted a one ahead. It didn't take long for his brother, Dean, & him to check in & find their room. It was all a normal routine for them both by now. They had been doing this their whole lives basically, or at least almost all of Sam's. What was waiting inside was slightly a surprise.
Castiel - Dean's angel. The very one who had saved Dean from hell. For that one fact Sam was grateful. Otherwise though, Sam was sick of the angels & their crap. Maybe it just had something to do with the way they treated Ruby, or maybe Sam was jealous when Dean took Castiel's side over his. Either way Sam just wished the angels could just leave them alone, or at least mind their own business. As far as he knew they didn't know what he got up to with Ruby, or at least hadn't told Dean. But there was always that small possibility that one day they would & Dean would go crazy. No one would understand. Only Ruby could see how Sam was the only one doing anything to help with this whole Lilith & apocalypse crap. Demon or not. Sam knew she was all he could count on 24/7. Even his own brother would turn on him if he knew about the blood. Really it was more annoying than a surprise to see the angel their dressed in his usual attire, Sam decided since both brothers were used to angels popping in from nowhere at random times.
Sam gave Dean an annoyed look as he walked over to the bed further away from Castiel. Taking his coat off, Sam waited to see if the angel would say anything. But not wanting to know what exactly it was that Castiel wanted, now, Sam didn't question him.

Castiel was right about where the Brothers would be checking in, and was also correct that Dean was doubtful to have been coming alone - hence same being the first of the brothers to enter the room. You did';t have to have emotion, nor brains to notice the way that Sam eyed off Castiel, and gave Dean a strange and some what irritated look. Shrugging it off, Castiel kept his eyes on Sam; mainly because the issue at hand was more involving him then it was Dean - depending on how you looked at it really. If it were not something as serious as involving the Apocalypse, Castiel probably would have waited for some one like Dean or Sam to get the word in first, but on this occasion that was not so. Castiel wanted to get this problem right out into the open so that the Brothers could 'clear' the air.
Turning his body to follow his line of sight, Castiel stood well and tall in front of Sam "The Angels Know Sam." his face emotionless when he delivered the words. It was more then likely that Dean would end up asking something like 'The angels know what?' and then noting that Castiel wouldn't respond immediately he would question 'Cas?' First thing was first, and that was Castiel trying to talk to Sam about his actions - hence trying to solve the situation in a more 'civil' way. "She isn't helping you Sam. What you're doing isn't helping in preventing the apocalypse, Nor is it making you stronger - rather weaker. I knew you were disobedient, but this had brought you to a new extant - one that I have not seen before." The tone of Castiel's voice was cold and dark, though his face kept it's emotionless look, as did his body's stature. It was obvious what Castiel was talking about - not to Dean of course, but more then obvious to Sam.

Sam was probably tired of driving… Or maybe it was Dean’s cassette tapes of Metallica on loop? But whatever it was, Sam told him to stop. There was a motel just over yonder, and his brother had a good idea. His baby needed some rest after all that continuous driving. So, frankly, he listened to his younger brother and pulled into the motel; finding a parking spot and hoping out. Patting the hood of the car, Dean walked to the side with his brother an entered the motel. It didn’t take long for Dean to pull out one of his numerous fake ID’s and credit cards and give it to the manager to bring them up a room. Now, you’d think he’d finally be able to watch some television and lay down all relaxed, but no…
Once Dean and Sam entered their room, bang; Castiel appeared out of thin air, almost giving Dean a heart attack, “I swear, you need to stop doing that, Cas.” Giving Sam a look back, Dean walked past Castiel in order to get the bed that he deemed better than the other. Putting his bag on the bed, Dean let out a loud, annoyed, sigh. Why was Cas always there when he didn’t want him? What luck! “The angels know what?” As if castile predicted it, Dean asked.
Raising a brow, Dean glanced over form Sam to Castiel as the angel began to speak. She? Dean had an idea on who this “she” was. Probably Ruby. Truth be told, Dean hated her. Sam was picking her over him almost all the time. Hell, Sam even lied to him about talking to her. And you thought Dean was sleeping… Nope, guess again. What happened to family first over some chick with big boobs that happened to be a demon that probably wanted both brothers dead? On second thought, might not be Ruby, but Dean was placing his bets on her. Dean was pondering on either leaving these two love bird to talk it out, or stay and join in when necessary… The latter one and with arms crossed over his chest, Dean stayed on the sidelines; his eyes glancing from Castiel then to Sam; watching his brothers every expression. What was Castiel talking about?

The angels know Sam. Castiel's words cut the air like knifes being thrown towards him. A sick feeling washed over him as he watched confusion pass across his brother's face. Sam knew exactly what Castiel meant. It could only be involving one thing - Ruby. The angels know what? Dean questioned, as Sam would expect of his brother. But how could he answer? What Sam and Ruby did was no ones business but their own. The angels should just shut up and mind their own business. Stick with the Apocalypse instead of hounding him about Ruby.
Ruby was helping and making him stronger. Nothing Castiel could say could possibly change what Ruby had said to be true, what Sam knew to be true. "Why not mind your own business. I can do whatever I please and don't need to be told what to do by you or any of your other angel friends. We aren't hurting anyone so just let us be. You think I'm disobedient? I'm sorry I never received God's memo stating I couldn't talk to Ruby." Castiel was wrong. Castiel was just trying to scare him, make him stop. But Sam knew Ruby was right, that this was the only way to stop the Apocalypse. Sure Ruby was the demon in this situation, but Sam trusted her a lot more than he could ever begin to trust the angels. Ruby was nothing like the other demons anyway...
Dean was watching them, Sam could see him standing there with his arms crossed. But Sam made no move to try and explain. He wouldn't understand anyway and would take Castiel's side. Although really Dean would take Castiel's side in most things now anyway. He put so much trust in the angels, which was such a surprise considering how disbelieving Dean had been at first. Sam couldn't believe how trusting and in awe he had been, before meeting these angels. The angels could be as evil as demons sometimes.
But Sam felt he stilled owed his brother something. After all he put Dean through. Just some small favour. "I am so sorry Dean." He whispered. Sure it was no explanation, but it was still something. Sure it wouldn't make up for all the times he took Ruby's side and ran off to her, let alone this whole blood thing, but it was still something. And wasn't even like Ruby or the blood was wrong anyway. Dean, and now Castiel, just clearly couldn't see that. Ruby had never done them any harm, just the opposite. She had saved both their lives, surely that would count for something in Dean's mind... but no. Dean was just so hard headed about it all, there was no changing his mind. Sam knew exactly how Dean felt about Ruby, he didn't need to tell him. Ruby was a demon. All demons were evil. 'They want us dead, they want us dead.'

Castiel was not going to talk to Dean, not just yet. Sam was the situation at hand and Dean could wait until as Castiel would say, ' the time was right'. It was more than obvious that Sam Didn't want Castiel there, bit than again, it wasn't that often that Castiel was ever wanted any where, unless he was saving one of the Winchester boys' butt.
"Mind My Own business? If only it were that easy Samuel! You think you're not hurting any one, for the simple reason that it hasn't happened yet. Have you looked into the future - What it will make you? What you'll become and what you will need to do to come back from that darkness? Have you, Samuel!?" Castiel was plain and blunt. He wasn't going to be nice, nor was he going to spare Sam for such things that he was doing. Talking to Ruby was one thing, but drinking her blood?
Castiel stood his ground, he had hoped that Dean would take his side on the matter, after all , Castiel was speaking the struth and Dean, more than disliked Ruby. His emotionless face scanned the room, before his eyes met with Dean's, "Samuel has been doing things thats I believe, not even some Demons would dare do. He's been drinking the Blood of a Demon - the Demon that you despise even more than or the same as Azazel..." Apologies came from Sam, and of course they would - who was in the wrong? The male in the room that was left for a reason to say sorry. Was it Castiel saying sorry? No. Was it Samuel Winchester? Yes.
Surely Dean would see Castiel's side of this story - after all when was it that Castiel ever came out to give crucial information like this, that was not true. Having Dean thrown of his Goal of stopping the Apocalypse didn't help the angel's, so why would he lie about such a thing? "Either you get you're Brother in Line - Or we Will." Castiel spoke in Dean's direction, emotion lacking in his voice, much the same as his facial expressions.

There wasn’t much Dean could do here. He was about to leave and get some munchies or something, but Castiel was here, so he felt the need to stay. This was important, and usually Castiel wouldn’t do his tricks unless it was of some value. What did he have to do with Sam? First thing Dean assumed was it had to do with Ruby. His own brother has been hanging around with her more than him; more than the job almost, too. It, personally, was annoying to Dean.
Sorry Dean… Those two words just didn’t match up right to Dean. Sorry for what, exactly, was the question. Knowing Castiel, or Cas as Dean referred to him as, he didn’t tell Dean anything. And if he did, it wasn’t specific or it was too late. Hell, whatever got Riah all nutty co-co, she couldn’t tell because of Castiel. Damn those angels. They were sometimes worse than demons.
Turning his attention form his little brother to Castiel, Dean’s expression turned more sour with each word Castiel spewed out. His little brother was drinking blood… From a demon? See! See, he knew it had to be something with Ruby! That filthy demon! “Freaking Ruby!?” Snapping his attention to Sam, Dean took a few steps closer to him, “Seriously Sammy, the fuck? Drinking a demon’s blood? How sane are you to do something like that!?” Sam thought he had to worry about Castiel? What about Dean. Cas was right about Dean hating Ruby… First was Azazel, then Ruby. So close they were at ting first place. Hearing Castiel’s comment, Dean glared back at the angel, “Why don’t you take your trench-coated self and mind your own business.” In other words; he will get Sam in line.

"Samuel has been doing things thats I believe, not even some Demons would dare do. He's been drinking the Blood of a Demon - the Demon that you despise even more than or the same as Azazel..." Sam couldn't believe Castiel's words. Something that Sam had been trying so hard to hide from Dean, Castiel just revealed to Dean. It was just like a sibling tattling to a parent, but Dean was Sam's sibling, not parent. Although he was almost like a substitute parent. "Freaking Ruby!?” It had taken Dean about two seconds to process which demon Castiel had spoken about, not that it would have been a hard guess. In all honesty it wasn't even as bad as Castiel & Dean were making it out to be. Sure, Sam had drunk Ruby's blood, on numerous occasions, but it was only to make him stronger when he needed it. It was nothing to get all worked up about. This whole conversation was pointless.
“Seriously Sammy, the fuck? Drinking a demon’s blood? How sane are you to do something like that!?” Dean's words cut deep, causing Sam's face to twist into his pitiful face, with the puppy dog eyes - or at least that was what Ruby would call them. "Dean. I am sorry. I..it just..it's helping me..you wouldn't understand." Sam sat back on the bed, placing his head in his hands, not wanting to look at his brother's furious, yet disappointed face. This had hurt Dean, hurt him more than the mere fact that Sam enjoyed & appreciated Ruby's company - to the point of sleeping with her, on numerous occasions. Oh no. This? Well it was much worse. Sam wished he could somehow just disappear & could be in Ruby's waiting arms again. He couldn't wait for this lecture, that was most likely coming, to be over so he could do just that. Ruby couldn't be far, she always seemed to be there when he need her most, following them out of sight, in her own special way.
"Either you get you're Brother in Line - Or we Will." Sam heard Castiel say to Dean. What was that supposed to mean though anyway? What were they going to do? Kill him? Kill Ruby? There was no way Dean would allow the first, or that he would allow the second. “Why don’t you take your trench-coated self and mind your own business.” Dean proved Sam's presumption to be correct. There was no way Dean would let the angels hurt him. Not even after what Dean would consider a betrayal & probably demonic thing for Sam to have done. Sam was Dean's brother, & he would still love, protect, & take care of him. Just like he always had. Now all Sam needed to do was find a way to warn Ruby, without Dean or Castiel noticing, & before any angels got their hands on her. Hopefully Castiel just let Dean deal with it. Then hopefully Dean's way of dealing with it wouldn't involve hurting Ruby in any way. Sam really needed to warn Ruby.

Once all that was needed to be said was out in the open it appeared clearly to Castiel, that this night wasn't going to be so much as smooth running. His effortless stance held his body at it's regular stature as he looked from Dean to Sam. Dean;s reaction was as expected; angry and abrupt. He couldn't believe that his brother had actually picked a Demon over him - on that point in some ways neither could Castiel. The strange thing was, Sam was convinced that all of it was for the greater good - all for a good enough reason. Tilting his head on a side, as Castiel tended to do, a lot, he tried to make sense of Sam's theory on the matter. In Castiel's mind nothing seemed to add up to Sam's favor, but then again, nothing that Castiel ever thought of added to Sam's side of things. To be honest, it probably had something to do with Sam slowing down the process of Dean stopping all the seals, at the current time though, with the events at hand, it was not Castiel's place to say. To add any more tension to the current problem at hand would more or less be suicidal.
Listening to Dean's angry tone, Castiel's face seemed as if to have some form of disappointment, even anger. Dean cussed in the presence of Castiel - something that the angel didn't like so much as even a little. "Watch you're tongue, Dean." Castiel spoke, his voice with a tad more darkness then his normal emotionless tone. Looking as Sam Apologized it seemed like that wasn't even good enough for Dean. Then again an apology wasn't good enough for Castiel either, what Sam had been doing and more than likely would remain to do was sick... more then sick - satanic and demonic. Eyes flicking over at Dean as he rudely dismissed the Angel, Castiel wasn't there for any longer then point five of a second. Before his disappearance, his trench coat flapped gently and then, poof, he was gone - vanished into mid air.
The Curtain that stood behind him flew around slightly with the movement that had taken place before Castiel vanished, but other then that, there was no sign that any one had been there in the first place. This was Dean's problem to sort out. and Castiel didn't plan on intruding any longer - after all he was merely the messenger, delivering the Message that would never reach Dean's ear other wise. Sam would never have told Dean, keeping him in the dark from all this sad and miserable secrets. The only way that Dean was fully informed now day's was if Castiel came to fill in those 'little' details. By little, Castiel meant big, but Sam's view of such pieces were small - obviously to small to inform Dean of any way.
