Bella's mind raced, trying to think of something to do or say that wouldn't get her kicked out before she'd at least eaten. She figured she'd go for the pathetic little psycho being chased by demons because of who and what she was. She wasn't going to cry, it had been a physical impossibilty for her, and besides, the tears probably would have been a bit much for what she wanted. "But you wouldn't throw a poor orphan out on the street would you? she implored of Kaylee, knowing that trying to persuade Riah would be difficult at best. "I haven't eaten all day, and it was so hot! I won't be much trouble, I swear!"
